SPJ Cold Storage opens with state-of-the-art facilities, boosting regional logistics and storage.
SPJ Cold Storage, a state-of-the-art facility, was officially inaugurated on May 20, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the region’s storage and logistics sector. The grand event saw attendance from numerous dignitaries and members of the trade fraternity, including representatives from shipping lines, terminal operators, exporters, and rail operators.
Strategically located to serve various industries, SPJ Cold Storage is equipped with the latest technology to ensure optimal storage conditions for a wide range of perishable goods. The facility spans a total area of 12,960 square metres, with 5,149 square metres dedicated to cold storage. It features 20 cold chambers, each with a capacity of 288 metric tonnes, and temperature ranges from -25°C to +25°C to accommodate diverse storage needs.
During the inauguration, Puran Joshi, Managing Director of SPJ Group, emphasised the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation. He highlighted that the new facility represents a significant advancement in cold storage solutions, contributing substantially to both the local and national economy.
