Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of RTX, has inaugurated its India Digital Capability Center (IDCC) in Bengaluru, India, to drive digital innovation and business transformation worldwide.
The center, co-located with Pratt & Whitney’s engineering and supply chain operations centers of excellence, aims to foster collaboration with other RTX entities in India, including Collins Aerospace and RTX Enterprise Services.
The IDCC will focus on various digital technology capabilities crucial to Pratt & Whitney’s ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
The center’s recruitment drive has commenced, with expectations to grow to over 300 employees by 2027. Pratt & Whitney has already invested $40 million in engineering and supply chain operations centers in the past two years, with this new multi-million-dollar investment reinforcing its commitment to expanding its presence in India.
Pratt & Whitney’s significant investments in India include a cutting-edge India Customer Training Center in Hyderabad and a research and development collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru. Over the past two decades, Pratt & Whitney has sourced over $500 million in engineering services in India, further solidifying its position as a key player with a workforce of more than 5,000 employees in the country, making RTX one of the leading aerospace and defense firms in India.
