The newly inaugurated ASTI, a modernised training facility of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), boasts cutting-edge infrastructure and approved laboratories by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. Aligned with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, it addresses crucial training needs in aviation security.
The inaugural session commenced with a 5-day AVSEC induction course for 40 trainees from Surat, Vadodara, Gwalior, Raipur, Indore, and Bhopal, including 24 from AAICLAS, 12 from PSA, and 4 from ASCOs. ASTI features well-equipped classrooms, a computer lab, library, IED model cum SHA room, cafeteria, and a conference hall. The campus is under CCTV surveillance with high-speed Wi-Fi.
This inauguration signifies a commitment to enhancing aviation security training, ensuring international compliance and nurturing a skilled workforce for the aviation industry.
