Etihad Cargo and Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) have revealed additional details of their expanded collaboration in the United States, as previously announced in October. The partnership, which already encompassed Europe and Asia, now includes Chicago O’Hare International Airport, in addition to existing operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport.
The facilities at Chicago O’Hare will feature both on-airport and off-airport locations, incorporating a fully temperature-controlled warehouse with a Controlled Room Temperature (CRT) environment to maintain a consistent temperature of +15 to +25°C.
Furthermore, it will include a dedicated 3,000 square meter cool room for temperatures of +2 to +8°C, offering 120 skid positions and 10 Unit Load Device (ULD) positions, along with 37 active container charging stations and specialised areas for handling export, import, dangerous goods, and cooler staging.
This expanded partnership aims to support the growing cargo volumes of Etihad Cargo, including its PharmaLife and FreshForward products across its global network. Etihad Cargo’s commitment to quality and consistent service is further strengthened by this collaboration.
