WFS to handle Emirates SkyCargo operations at Frankfurt, boosting its global network with a five-year service contract.

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, has announced a new five-year cargo handling agreement with Emirates SkyCargo at Frankfurt Airport. This development marks a significant expansion of WFS’ collaboration with Emirates, now extending specialised gateway services to 21 global stations within the airline’s network.
The partnership underscores the vital role WFS plays in supporting Emirates’ international operations. Frankfurt, among Europe’s busiest air cargo hubs, is a strategic point for the airline, with weekly cargo capacity exceeding 1,400 tonnes. WFS aims to enhance efficiency and security through advanced handling capabilities, particularly in pharmaceuticals and time-sensitive shipments.
Emirates operates six scheduled freighters and 21 passenger flights per week from Frankfurt, transporting high-value goods such as pharmaceuticals, automotive parts, and industrial machinery. The extended partnership is expected to further streamline these operations, reinforcing trade between Germany and global markets.
This contract win highlights WFS’ expanding footprint in Europe and its ongoing commitment to delivering tailored cargo solutions for major international carriers across critical logistics hubs.
