Eight artisans from eight states exhibited traditional crafts at the BRICS Parliamentary Forum’s Cultural Bazar.

Artisans under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises participated in a two-day Cultural Bazar held during the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum at the Parliament House Complex, New Delhi, on October 26-27, 2026. The event showcased India’s traditional crafts, artisan-made products and indigenous skills to national and international delegates.
Eight artisans from Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Karnataka and Maharashtra displayed handcrafted products at the PM Vishwakarma stall, representing trades including tailoring, goldsmithing, stone carving, doll-making and cobbling. Several conducted live demonstrations of traditional techniques such as Dokra metal casting, Jabalpur stone craft and Kolhapuri chappal-making.
The Ministry said the initiative aimed to boost visibility and market access for traditional artisans, many of whom have been onboarded onto e-commerce platforms including Amazon, Flipkart and Meesho through the scheme’s support.
