With immediate effect, Amit Mehta has been named Malaysia Airlines’ Regional Manager for South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. In this role, he is in charge of expanding the airline’s operations in these three crucial markets.
He was once South Asia’s country manager. Amit has over 20 years of strong managerial and business expertise in the aviation industry and has been employed with Malaysia Airlines since 2007. He is well-suited to succeed in this new position because of his competence in managing a variety of portfolios, including profit centre operations, sales, marketing, and revenue management.
Amit stated of his new position: “I am thrilled to continue my career with Malaysia Airlines in the new role, where my primary focus will be on cultivating new prospects and strategic collaborations to strengthen the company in these key regions. In order to provide our clients with a remarkable travel experience, I also want to focus on enhancing customer relationships and loyalty.
Amit will continue to lead and coach the team members in these critical areas, ensuring the effective execution of both the commercial and operational action plans and enhancing the airline’s brand presence in these areas by offering memorable onboard Malaysian hospitality experiences.
