Maersk appoints Christopher Cook as MD for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Maersk has announced the appointment of Christopher Cook as the new Managing Director for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, effective October 1, 2024. Cook, who is currently the Managing Director for UAE, Oman, and Qatar at Maersk, will take on this new role with a focus on driving the company’s growth in the South Asia region.
According to a press release from Maersk, Cook will oversee the commercial operations across these key markets. Richard Morgan, Managing Director for the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa at Maersk, expressed confidence in Cook’s ability to lead, highlighting his extensive experience and leadership capabilities.
Cook, in his statement, expressed his excitement for the new role, emphasising the significant growth potential in the region. He looks forward to working with the local team to enhance Maersk’s position as a leading logistics partner while delivering value-driven solutions for customers and stakeholders.
