Godrej Consumer Products opens its first vertical warehouse in Bhiwandi to boost supply chain efficiency and sustainability.

Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) has inaugurated its first vertical storage warehouse in Bhiwandi, Thane district, Maharashtra. The new facility is part of Project Parivartan, GCPL’s flagship initiative aimed at transforming its supply chain through innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
Spanning 2.84 lakh square feet, the warehouse features a high-density G+6 vertical racking system with more than 3,200 pallet positions, significantly improving space utilisation while reducing land footprint. Designed as a central hub, it will cater to key regional markets including Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
The warehouse integrates automation and advanced material handling solutions like angular docks, dock levellers, and systems capable of managing over 60,000 cases daily. It also includes AI-ML powered warehouse monitoring, IR-based fire alarms, gas and temperature sensors, and a centralized control centre for real-time oversight.
Saurabh Jhawar, Head of Product Supply Organisation for India & SAARC, highlighted the development as a major milestone under Project Parivartan. Earlier in March 2025, GCPL also launched its first integrated greenfield manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu to support flagship brands.
