Goa government partners with CII and GIM to enhance logistics via new Centre of Excellence.
The Goa government is set to sign a ‘Letter of Intent’ with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) to establish the ‘Goa Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Logistics.’ This agreement will be formalised during the 10th edition of the CII Goa Logistics Conference on September 25.
The conference is a pivotal event aimed at advancing Goa’s logistics sector, a cornerstone of the State’s economic strategy. It will bring together investors, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore growth opportunities and attract investments in logistics.
The CoE will play a key role in executing Goa’s recently launched Logistics Policy, focusing on infrastructure development, policy enhancement, and capacity building within the sector. Additionally, the event will spotlight the Goa Logistics and Warehouse Policy 2023, port modernization, and the emerging potential of road transport for cargo movement in the state.
Anthony Gaskell, CII Goa’s Logistics Panel Convenor, emphasised the importance of this conference in shaping Goa’s logistics landscape over the past decade.
