GSV launches Centers for Transport Safety and Infrastructure to advance safety and project management.
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) has taken a significant step toward enhancing India’s transportation and infrastructure sectors by establishing two new centers: the Center for Transport Safety and the Centre for Infrastructure Project Management (CIPM). These centers are designed to address pressing challenges in safety and infrastructure development, crucial for the nation’s progress.
The Center for Transport Safety at GSV aims to create a safer transportation system across all modes—rail, road, aviation, and water. It will focus on educational programs, policymaking, capacity building, and research to develop proactive strategies that leverage data-driven insights and cutting-edge technologies.
Meanwhile, the CIPM is dedicated to fostering education, research, and industry collaboration in infrastructure project management. As India progresses toward becoming a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047, the CIPM will play a key role in ensuring that infrastructure projects are executed efficiently, sustainably, and with maximum societal impact. Both centers aim to drive innovation, develop best practices, and train future leaders in their respective fields.
