Sri Lanka-based EFL Global has inaugurated its inaugural UK facility, the Black Arrow warehouse, in response to the growing demand from high-street retailers. Developed by Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust (AIPUT) near Heathrow Airport, the 2,579 square metre warehouse will primarily handle imports for major clothing retailers. The facility, equipped with environmentally-friendly features like photovoltaic panels, aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by 30 percent.
EFL Global President, Evan Rosen, expressed enthusiasm for expanding operations in England and strategic planning for further growth in Europe. AIPUT fund manager, Nick Smith, welcomed EFL Global as a new customer, highlighting the collaborative culture and the introduction of an exciting global freight forwarder to the UK logistics market.
The Blackthorne Point logistics campus already hosts renowned companies such as UPS Supply Chain, Scan Global Logistics, Flostream, and CH Robinson. EFL Global’s expansion includes recent office openings and the acquisition of Locher Evers International in Canada.
