DPIIT and ITC join forces to enhance India’s startup ecosystem with a focus on digital platforms and renewable energy.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has entered a strategic partnership with ITC to accelerate India’s startup growth and innovation. This collaboration, aimed at fostering entrepreneurship, integrates ITC’s market expertise with DPIIT’s startup initiatives under programs like Startup India and Make in India.
The partnership will deploy startup solutions for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), renewable energy, and energy storage systems, aligning with the Government’s Vision 2047 for sustainable and inclusive growth. Joint Secretary DPIIT, Sanjiv, emphasised its role in driving innovation-led entrepreneurship and creating scalable solutions for startups.
Anil Rajput, ITC’s President of Corporate Affairs, highlighted the MoU’s focus on digital platforms and renewable energy to enhance operational excellence and sustainability in manufacturing. The alliance is expected to create a conducive environment for startups while contributing to India’s economic and technological advancement.
