India’s leading cold chain provider has scaled from 400 to over 3,000 employees in three years.

ColdStar Logistics, India’s leading temperature-controlled supply chain solutions provider, has recorded a sevenfold increase in its workforce over the past three years, growing from just over 400 employees in FY22 to more than 3,000 in FY25. The expansion reflects surging demand from quick-commerce and e-commerce platforms, as well as the company’s widening distribution network now spanning over 200 cities across India. The firm has also upgraded its warehousing capabilities with multi-temperature zones, tech-enabled inventory systems and scalable infrastructure across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Alongside headcount growth, ColdStar has made notable strides in workforce inclusivity, with the number of women associated with the company rising from nine in FY22 to 386. The company has also seen a marked increase in frontline, vendor-led and daily wage workers, underscoring the growing demand for flexible staffing models within dynamic supply chains. Executive Director Sameer Varma stated that scaling the team had required building capacity to handle operational intensity while maintaining consistency. Looking ahead, ColdStar intends to invest in structured onboarding and training programmes, compliance-driven HR processes and improved payroll and performance management systems to support continued growth.
