Celcius Logistics and Ottobock India open a dedicated prosthetics warehouse and distribution hub in Thane to strengthen medical supply chains nationwide.

Celcius Logistics has partnered with Ottobock India, the Indian subsidiary of German medical technology firm Ottobock, to establish a dedicated prosthetics warehouse and logistics distribution hub in Thane. The 3,000 sq. ft. facility features ambient storage, 110 slotted angle racks with over 700 bin locations and a 100 sq. ft. temperature-controlled area for sensitive medical materials. It is equipped to manage over 2,000 SKUs and support distribution across 24 clinics and more than 200 independent partners, including associations with the Government of India. The facility is exclusively dedicated to Ottobock and is operational under a five-year contract.
Celcius Logistics will manage end-to-end warehouse operations and transportation using its in-house warehouse management and transport management systems, covering inbound, outbound, inventory management and nationwide distribution. Swarup Bose, Founder and CEO of Celcius Logistics, said the partnership reflects how healthcare supply chains in India are evolving towards “greater precision, reliability and accountability.” Mats Frank, Head of Cluster Asia-South and Managing Director of Ottobock India, noted that supply chain reliability is “directly linked to patient outcomes” and highlighted the use of electric vehicles for delivery as part of the company’s environmental commitments. The partners plan to expand warehouse capacity by 25 per cent within the next year in line with growing demand.
