India’s leading airport services provider, Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) will design, build, finance and operate the Integrated Multi-Modal Cargo Hub in Jewar, Noida. The facility will be built over 87 acres and will be equipped with air-to-road, road-to-road, and road-to-air movements.
The ‘Letter of Award’ (LOA) was given to AISATS at the UP Global Investors Summit. The facility will have integrated, state-of-the-art facilities, unmatched connectivity options, and follow global benchmark processes to redefine logistics and warehousing in North India.
The cargo hub will be first of its kind in the country. It will operate an Integrated Cargo Terminal (ICT) and an Integrated Warehousing & Logistics Zone (IWLZ). There will be dedicated terminals to handle domestic and international cargo movement, express courier shipments, and a Coolport facility for pharmaceuticals, perishables, and other temperature-sensitive shipments.
The MMCH will also boast warehousing facilities like the BUP Facility for Integrators & Global Forwarders, Customs Bonded Warehouse, Consolidation Centre for Freight Forwarders & Agents, 3PL Warehouse and Trucking Centre, and a Logistics Park for e-commerce players for parking trucks. There will be amenities for truckers for smooth movement.
The development is expected to add to the existing infrastructure in NCR and Western UP, which includes large industrial clusters of electronics, textiles, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, and perishables.
