Former Railway Board member Sanjiv Garg joins ACTO in an advisory role.
The Association of Container Train Operators (ACTO) has appointed Sanjiv Garg as a Senior Advisor to support its efforts towards strengthening India’s container rail logistics sector.
Garg is a former Additional Member, Railway Board and former Managing Director, Pipavav Railway Corporation Limited. He currently serves as Secretary General, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – India (CILT India). His career in Indian Railways included senior operational and commercial responsibilities, giving him extensive experience across railway operations, freight and logistics.
Garg has also been involved in the Capacity Building Commission’s National Standards for Civil Services Training Institutions (NSCSTI) as an assessor and mentor, including assessment assignments during 2025 and 2026.
According to ACTO’s announcement, Garg will advise the association on its efforts to develop a stronger, more efficient and competitive container rail logistics sector in India.
