Hong Kong-based Crown Worldwide Group launches a large-scale storage and information management facility in Coimbatore, strengthening its India operations.

Crown Worldwide Group has inaugurated a new facility in Coimbatore, India, situated on a 4.5-acre site and designed to support integrated storage and information management solutions. The facility opens with a Phase 1 capacity of over 468,000 Standard Carton Equivalents (SCE), with plans to expand to 720,000 SCE in Phase 2 through an additional 45,000 sq. ft., designed to be added without disrupting ongoing operations. The site also supports Crown Relocations and Crown Workspace, including its Renew Centre focused on refurbishing and reusing workplace assets. A centralised Building Management System enables real-time monitoring of fire safety, electrical systems and climate control across Crown’s global network.
The facility incorporates fire protection systems aligned with Indian Standards, supported by a 530,000-litre water reserve, full-site hydrant coverage and in-warehouse sprinklers, alongside 24/7 surveillance and access-controlled security. Sustainability features include insulated construction reducing internal temperatures by 3 to 4°C, high-reflectance roofing and green cover across 15 per cent of the site. Jennifer Harvey, Group CEO of Crown Worldwide Group, described India as “one of our fastest growing markets” and said the facility strengthens the company’s ability to support clients with physical document storage, corporate asset management and digitalisation. Srinivas Krishnan, Regional Managing Director for South Asia, added that the facility prepares Crown for “the scale and complexity of demand” from clients in South India.
