K2 Infragen bags INR 262 crore Indian Railways deal to upgrade power systems, boosting its 2026 order book to over INR 500 crore.

K2 Infragen, an engineering and core infrastructure company, has announced the receipt of a Letter of Award for an INR 262 crore project from Indian Railways. The works involve the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of traction substations, sectioning posts, and SCADA systems for the Luni to Bhildi double line section within the Jodhpur Division of North Western Railway.
This major order is expected to establish K2 Infragen as a long-term, bankable player in the railway infrastructure sector by augmenting power systems along this critical route. The contract was awarded to a joint venture between K2 Infragen and Salasar Techno Engineering, with K2 Infragen acting as the lead partner holding a 74 per cent share.
Pankaj Sharma, Managing Director of K2 Infragen, stated that 1 January 2026 will be a significant date in the company’s history as it enters the new year with this substantial addition to the order book. Sharma noted that this premium project represents a major leap forward, demonstrating the firm’s capability to execute multiple large-scale projects simultaneously and boosting shareholder confidence.
Priyanka Pareek, CFO of K2 Infragen, commented that the project aligns with ongoing national investment in railway and transmission power infrastructure. Pareek added that the order secures the company’s position among top-ranked infrastructure players, bringing the total order book to over INR 500 crore and setting a path for disciplined, aggressive growth.
K2 Infragen remains active across multiple sectors, including National Highways Authority of India road developments and water supply infrastructure. The company aims to further expand its footprint in power transmission and railways over the next two years.
