ONGC partners with APM Terminals Pipavav for offshore logistics; the port boosts energy security and supply chain efficiency.

APM Terminals Pipavav has been appointed as the strategic offshore oil and gas logistics base for ONGC, under a five-year contract aimed at strengthening India’s energy infrastructure and operational efficiency.
The collaboration will enable ONGC to set up a dedicated offshore logistics base at the multi-cargo Pipavav Port, leveraging the port’s advanced multi-modal infrastructure, integrated warehousing, and proximity to key offshore oil fields in Tapti and Kutch. The initiative is designed to enhance operational efficiency, supply chain resilience, and reliability for both ONGC and the broader oil and gas sector.
“Our port capabilities, focus on reliability, and collaborative approach ensure that we deliver impactful solutions for India’s critical offshore logistics needs,” said Girish Aggarwal, Managing Director of APM Terminals Pipavav. “This alliance reflects our commitment to supporting national development while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.”
For Gujarat Pipavav Port (GPPL), the partnership opens a new business avenue, showcasing its ability to deliver complex, high-impact solutions and positioning the port as a key player in India’s offshore logistics landscape.
The move is expected to advance India’s energy security, provide world-class infrastructure for efficient servicing of offshore assets, and contribute to economic growth by strengthening logistics capabilities in the oil and gas sector.
This strategic alliance underscores India’s focus on enhancing energy self-reliance while ensuring safe, reliable, and well-equipped infrastructure for its offshore operations.
