At CargoNXT Summit, leaders said predictive tools, multimodal links, and AI are vital for supply chain agility.

Agility, speed, and resilience in supply chains dominated the opening business session Chain Pe Charcha at the 4th Edition of CargoNXT Logistics & SCM Summit.
The panel, moderated by Ajay Singh, Chief Supply Chain Officer and Vice President at Hindustan Platinum, underscored that planning for uncertainty requires agile S&OP models and predictive demand tools to navigate frequent supply-demand disruptions.

Speakers Bharat Bhushan Rathi of Mankind Pharma, Anirban Sanyal of Century Plyboards, Tarun Verma of Shell India, and Tarun Kalra of MSC highlighted that integrating road, rail, air, and sea operations can accelerate deliveries, cut costs, and enhance sustainability.
They pointed out that while Free Trade Agreements offer sourcing flexibility, their effectiveness depends on alignment with India’s logistics infrastructure.
The discussion also stressed that the global shift from globalization to regionalization, amplified by India-US tariff developments, calls for robust networks powered by AI, digital twins, and control towers. Panelists agreed that bridging infrastructure and regulatory gaps is vital for India to emerge as a global supply chain hub.
