Two MoUs aim to scale early-stage startups in manufacturing, mobility, clean tech, and deep tech sectors.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed separate MoUs with Zepto and Hero MotoCorp to accelerate early-stage startups under the Startup India initiative.
The DPIIT–Zepto collaboration, through the ‘Zepto Nova’ innovation challenge, will support startups in hardware, IoT, packaging, and sustainable manufacturing. The six-month programme will offer mentorship, expert-led workshops, and market access, with a focus on women-led and Tier II/III ventures. Zepto plans to integrate over 100 Indian startups into its supply chain.
The DPIIT–Hero MotoCorp partnership, via the ‘Hero For Startups’ accelerator, will back startups in future mobility, clean technology, and deep technology. Selected ventures will gain access to Hero’s global R&D facilities in India and Germany, dealer networks, and opportunities for paid Proofs of Concept to pilot innovations.
DPIIT officials emphasised that such collaborations bridge industry expertise with grassroots innovation, while company leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fostering entrepreneurship in line with national visions such as Make in India and Viksit Bharat 2047.
