The “Gati Se Pragati Conclave 2025,” hosted by PHDCCI at Hotel Le Meridien on July 3, 2025, brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and logistics experts to discuss strategies for reducing costs, enhancing infrastructure, and ensuring inclusive growth.
Inaugurating the conclave, Shantanu Thakur, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, underscored that last-mile connectivity will be pivotal in reducing logistics costs and improving ease of doing business. Citing the Chenab Bridge as an example, he emphasised its role in driving regional prosperity and integration. He also highlighted how initiatives like PM Gati Shakti and the “Vocal for Local” campaign align to empower local producers and boost exports.
Other speakers included Bhibhu Prasad Tarai, who stressed multi-modal integration to meet Viksit Bharat goals, and Praveen Kumar of DFCCIL, who called the dedicated freight corridors the “spinal cord” of India’s transport network.
Senior officials from DPIIT, Ministry of Railways, and industry leaders including Rudra Shriram, Surendra Ahirwar, Prof. Manoj Choudhary and Manoj Kumar Jain called for robust public-private collaboration, data-backed policy decisions, and synchronised infrastructure to unlock India’s logistics potential.
