Jebel Ali Port handled 15.5M TEUs in 2024, its highest since 2015, reinforcing its position as a key global trade hub.

DP World has recorded its highest cargo volumes at Jebel Ali Port since 2015, handling 15.5 million TEUs in 2024, a 1 million TEU increase from the previous year. This accounts for 18% of DP World’s total global throughput of 88.3 million TEUs, solidifying Jebel Ali’s role as the region’s premier logistics hub.
Breakbulk cargo also saw a 23% year-on-year surge to 5.4 million metric tonnes (MTs), driven by rising infrastructure, renewable energy, and industrial investments. The port handled large shipments of wind turbines, solar panels, heavy machinery, and construction materials, with imports comprising 80% of total shipments.
Jebel Ali supported major projects in humanitarian aid, aluminium recycling, and mining logistics, consolidating global trade flows amid Red Sea disruptions. With an annual 19.4 million TEU capacity, 100+ berths, and specialized terminals, Jebel Ali continues to lead in trade resilience and connectivity.
