IESW 2024 begins in Delhi, focusing on energy storage, e-mobility, and clean technologies.
India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024, organised by the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony in Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Sunil Barthwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, along with HE Philip Green OAM, Australia’s High Commissioner to India, and HE May-Elin Steiner, Ambassador of Norway.
The session saw participation from policymakers and industry leaders, including Sudhendu J Sinha from NITI Aayog, Vishal Kapoor from Energy Efficiency Services, Dr. Reji Mathai from the Automotive Research Association of India, Vikram Gulati from Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Rubin Pather from Reliance Jio-BP, Swadesh Srivastava from Hero MotoCorp, Stephen Fernands from Customised Energy Solutions, Dr. Rahul Walawalkar from CES India & IESA, and Debi Prasad Dash from IESA.
Scheduled from July 1-5, 2024, in New Delhi, the 10th edition of IESW aims to advance India’s adoption of energy storage, e-mobility, green hydrogen, and other clean technologies in line with the country’s Net Zero Goal.
Sunil Barthwal highlighted the transformative potential of the EV ecosystem in India, emphasizing the government’s efforts to attract global investments. “India offers a vast opportunity for investors to engage in the entire value chain of the energy transition, with potential investments close to $500 million,” Barthwal stated.
IESW 2024 aims to showcase Indian innovations to the global battery and energy storage community and foster partnerships for international companies entering India’s expanding battery market.
