In a milestone event commemorating two years of PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (NMP), the 61st Network Planning Group (NPG) meeting convened under the leadership of Special Secretary (Logistics), DPIIT, Sumita Dawra.
The session extensively reviewed the status of mapping existing and proposed economic zones on the NMP platform and progress on 100 critical infrastructure projects. Over 60 officials from key Ministries participated, presenting updates on varied projects, including railways, roads, ports, and power.
Special Secretary Dawra highlighted PM GatiShakti’s achievements, including the onboarding of 39 line Ministries, 36 State/UTs, and the launch of a ‘Compendium of PM GatiShakti.’ The NMP has enabled the identification and prioritisation of critical gap infrastructure projects for FY 2023-24, with a budget allocation of Rs. 75,000 Crores.
The meeting emphasised the extensive use of the PM GatiShakti portal for comprehensive infrastructure planning, ensuring inclusive growth, and addressing connectivity gaps to economic nodes.
