TVS SCS partners with Daimler Truck SEA for strategic supply chain services in Asia-Pacific.
TVS Supply Chain Solutions has announced a new five-year strategic contract with Daimler Truck South East Asia, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG. This contract focuses on providing Integrated Supply Chain Solutions (ISCS) services in Singapore, reinforcing TVS SCS’s role as Daimler Truck AG’s primary logistics partner in the region.
Vittorio Favati, CEO of TVS SCS Global Forwarding Solutions, highlighted that the alliance underscores the trust in TVS SCS to manage critical supply chain functions. The collaboration aims to enhance logistics efficiency for Daimler Truck South East Asia, servicing dealers, distributors, and workshops across 16 Asia-Pacific countries.
Key operational goals include:
- Establishing a reliable logistics system for distributing replacement parts and related goods.
- Streamlining supply chain operations via Singapore’s strategic logistics hub.
- Managing 65,000 order lines and 8,000 SKUs annually, catering to diverse storage needs.
- Ensuring smooth shipments with comprehensive customs clearance, including dangerous goods.
TVS SCS is also implementing a bespoke IT solution suite, featuring an online platform for inventory visibility and ordering for Daimler Truck Parts Centre (DTPC) Southeast Asia customers. This system integrates inventory management, parts replenishment ordering, parts pricing, invoicing, and data analytics.
