Mumbai, 10th October 2024: Swan’s Shipyard, a subsidiary of Swan Energy Limited (SEL), has appointed Rear Admiral Vipin Kumar Saxena (IN Retd.) as Chief Executive Officer, marking a key phase in the company’s transformation. Admiral Saxena, with over 37 years of naval expertise, will lead the shipyard’s strategic initiatives, modernisation, and growth, focussing on strengthening India’s shipbuilding industry.
Admiral Saxena’s career in the Indian Navy and leadership in shipbuilding position him to steer Swan’s Shipyard toward becoming a leader in the maritime sector. His previous roles, including as Chairman of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, underscore his capacity for overseeing large-scale shipbuilding projects.
Welcoming him aboard, Swan’s Shipyard Director Vivek Merchant highlighted Saxena’s extensive experience and the critical role he will play in driving innovation at the shipyard.
