This visionary project, initiated with a Bhoomi poojan ceremony on October 7, 2017, holds immense significance for Gujarat’s economic landscape. With an extensive spread of 1025.50 hectares, the airport features a 3040m runway, spacious apron, and a passenger terminal capable of managing 1280 travelers per hour during peak hours.
Moreover, its strategic location near Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway ensures expedited logistics for various industries in the region, promoting growth and generating employment opportunities. The airport’s advanced infrastructure, including solar power systems, rainwater harvesting, and firefighting facilities, underscores its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
