PM GatiShakti evaluates 293 major infrastructure projects, aligning 57 ministries and 36 states for integrated planning.

Since its launch in October 2021, the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (PMGS NMP) has evaluated 293 infrastructure projects worth ₹13.59 lakh crore through its Network Planning Group (NPG) mechanism. These evaluations focus on integrated planning, multimodal connectivity, and synchronised efforts across central and state levels.
So far, 57 Central Ministries and Departments, including 8 infrastructure-focused and 22 social sectors, have been onboarded along with 36 States and Union Territories. Over 1,700 geospatial data layers have been integrated into the PMGS platform, enabling informed, data-driven infrastructure development.
The initiative does not have a separate fund allocation; however, ₹5,000 crore was provisioned in 2022–23 by the Finance Ministry under the capital investment assistance scheme for PMGS-linked projects.
With the inclusion of 36 additional Ministries and Departments beyond the initial 21, the Master Plan continues to enhance collaboration under a “Whole of Government” approach, promoting last-mile connectivity and project efficiency.
The information was shared by Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Shri Jitin Prasada, in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
