Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated a significant infrastructure milestone of the 45 km Nandura to Chikhli section on National Highway 53. This high-profile project, undertaken at a cost of Rs. 800 crore in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district, aims to bolster regional connectivity and economic growth. The four-lane expansion includes a 6 km Nandura Greenfield Bypass, bridges, underpasses, service roads, and other enhancements.
The inauguration is expected to ease transportation of agricultural goods, facilitate access to religious and tourist sites, and contribute to reducing traffic congestion and environmental impacts. Moreover, the improved highway connectivity is predicted to foster trade between Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. The project underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure and promoting regional development.
