Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) will halt flight operations on May 2 afternoon for six hours to conduct pre-monsoon repair and maintenance on its runways. The airport has a cross-shaped layout for two runways, which will remain temporarily non-operational between 11 and 5 pm that day.
Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen). All airlines and stakeholders were informed six months before the scheduled repair work. Operations at the airport will resume after 5 pm on May 2. This is an annual practice to maintain operational continuity and conform to safety standards for passengers.
