Mahindra Logistics announces the appointment of Vishal Sharma as Vice President – Transportation and Procurement.
Mahindra Logistics has appointed Vishal Sharma as Vice President – Transportation and Procurement, effective May 17. Sharma brings nearly three decades of experience in strategic leadership roles across diverse industries and geographies.
In his previous role at Adani Enterprise, Sharma managed operations and commercial activities for a portfolio that included 59 million tonnes of coal and other commodities, amounting to a ₹6600 crore spend base in FY23. His responsibilities covered reaching over 2000 customers across India via road and rail, overseeing three separate business segments.
Sharma holds a B.Tech in Marine Engineering from MERI, an Executive MBA from IIM Bangalore, and a Licentiate in General Insurance from the Insurance Institute of India. He is also a Life Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, the Indian Institution of Technical Arbitrators, the Institution of Engineers (India), the Indian Institute of Materials Management, and the National Safety Council.
