KSH Logistics, the two-decades-old integrated supply-chain logistics solution provider, announced its goal to boost its female workforce by 25 per cent in 2023. The announcement came on International Women’s Day to have a more gender-diverse, equal, and inclusive workplace.
With the initiative, KSH Logistics plans to create a more balanced and diverse workforce, drive innovation, growth, and excellence. The company currently has more than 15 per cent of women employees, including housekeeping staff and security guards. The company encourages workplace diversity to bring different experiences, perspectives, and ideas to the table, thus facilitating better decision-making and problem-solving.
KSH Logistics already has Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies in place that are aligned with the existing Government policies specifically aimed at women’s empowerment. Moreover, digitalisation accelerated post-pandemic and positively impacted the company’s hiring strategy.
KSH Logistics plans to implement measures like targeted recruitment strategies, mentoring and coaching, training and development programs, and flexible work arrangements towards the goal. The company will also review its policies and procedures to support the basic needs and growth of women employees.
