Honda celebrated a significant milestone in its Indian operations with the ground-breaking ceremony of a state-of-the-art spare parts warehouse in Doddaballapura, near Bengaluru, Karnataka. The facility, strategically located, aims to enhance Honda’s logistics for two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and power products.
Scheduled to commence operations by the first quarter of FY 2025-26, the warehouse will notably improve the availability and delivery speed of spare parts across Southern India.
Takuya Tsumura, President & CEO of Honda Cars India, underscored the strategic significance of the new facility during the ceremony. He emphasised Honda’s commitment to ensuring timely access to spare parts and highlighted the alignment of the facility with future technological advancements, including electrification.
Strategically positioned in Doddaballapura, the warehouse benefits from close proximity to key transportation hubs, facilitating streamlined operations and reduced delivery times, thus enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
The warehouse’s design reflects Honda’s commitment to sustainability and efficiency, incorporating green initiatives such as rainwater harvesting and energy-saving features. Furthermore, ergonomic layouts and modern technologies ensure high productivity and safety standards, fostering a conducive working environment.
Part of Honda’s broader strategy to strengthen its logistical backbone in India, this initiative promises to support the brand’s sales growth and product expansion in the dynamic automotive landscape. Overseen by Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Company (SMCC), the project ensures adherence to global best practices in construction and environmental sustainability.
