The 3rd CargoNXT Conference & Recognitions, in partnership with the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is set to take place on April 25, 2025, at The Orchid Hotel, Vile Parle (E), Mumbai. This edition’s theme, “Future-Ready Logistics: Driving India’s Global Trade Ecosystem,” underscores the critical role of logistics in propelling India towards its ambitious vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Join us on April 25, 2025, at The Orchid Hotel, Mumbai, to be a part of this transformative journey!
India’s logistics sector, valued at $250 billion in 2023, is projected to grow at a CAGR of 10-12% to reach $380 billion by 2030. The sector contributes nearly 14% to the country’s GDP, yet inefficiencies cost the economy an additional 4-5% of GDP annually. Recognising these challenges, the government has implemented transformative initiatives like the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan and the National Logistics Policy to optimise supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance global competitiveness.
The conference’s theme delves into these initiatives while addressing three core pillars of a future-ready logistics ecosystem: innovation, sustainability, and policy integration.
Path to excellence
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047 emphasises robust infrastructure and seamless connectivity as critical enablers for economic growth. PM GatiShakti, with its holistic approach to integrating multi-modal transport, aims to reduce logistics costs from 14% of GDP to a global benchmark of 8%. Additionally, the National Logistics Policy focuses on creating a unified digital logistics interface and a skilled workforce, ensuring efficiency and transparency across the supply chain.
The significance of this year’s theme lies in its alignment with these national priorities. Discussions will spotlight the ongoing development of dedicated freight corridors, modernised ports, and enhanced airport capacities—all of which play pivotal roles in enabling seamless trade.
Evolving with trade
As global trade dynamics shift, India’s logistics sector must adapt to challenges such as geopolitical uncertainties, rising commodity prices, and the demand for sustainable practices. According to the World Bank’s Logistics Performance Index 2023, India ranks 38th globally, highlighting significant room for improvement in infrastructure and efficiency.
By focusing on “Future-Ready Logistics,” CargoNXT 2025 seeks to address these challenges while fostering collaboration among policymakers, industry leaders, and technology innovators. Sessions will explore advancements in AI, IoT, blockchain, and robotics to enhance transparency, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Sustainable pathways
The conference also emphasizes the urgency of integrating green logistics practices. With supply chain emissions accounting for over 60% of global carbon emissions, adopting eco-friendly technologies is no longer optional but imperative. Industry experts will discuss practical strategies for achieving net-zero logistics and embedding sustainability across the supply chain.
Aligning with national aspirations
CargoNXT 2025 aligns seamlessly with India’s vision for a developed economy by 2047. Through engaging sessions, real-world insights, and actionable takeaways, the conference aims to equip stakeholders with the tools and strategies needed to build a resilient and future-ready logistics ecosystem. By fostering innovation, driving sustainability, and strengthening policy frameworks, the event contributes meaningfully to India’s global trade aspirations.
