Fresh and Healthy Enterprises Limited (FHEL), the wholly owned subsidiary of Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), opened the doors to Haryana’s largest frozen cold storage facility at FHEL Agri-Center, Rai Industrial Area, District Sonipat, Haryana. The facility is spread over 30,860 square feet and strategically located on NH1 (GT Karnal Road), catering to the NCR region and the KMP expressway.
The facility was inaugurated by the Chairman and Managing Director, CONCOR and Chairman, FHEL, Kalyana Rama, on Thursday. Also present were the Directors and Executive Directors of CONCOR, the CEO and other officials of FHEL, the National President of the Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India and the Member of Task Force of CII Cold Chain, CEO of Indicold, the Managing Partner of Siddhi Enterprises, stakeholders and trade representatives.
The cold storage facility can store up to 4,416 metric tonnes of cargo and 4,416 pallets at up to -25 degrees Celsius. It complies with global safety and security standards and boasts outstanding mechanised operational efficiencies, thus requiring no human intervention to maintain the desired temperature or humidity. The facility’s energy-efficient design ensures minimum temperature loss. It can handle highly perishable products like butter, ice cream, and frozen vegetables.
