ESR Group expands Oragadam Industrial Park in Chennai, adding 27 acres to bolster Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth.
ESR Group has acquired an additional 27 acres to expand its existing industrial and logistics park in Oragadam, Chennai. With this acquisition, the ESR Oragadam Industrial and Logistics Park now spans 107 acres, offering a development potential of 2.5 million square feet. The company announced on Monday that the investment, amounting to INR 276 crore (over USD 33 million), underscores ESR’s commitment to enhancing Tamil Nadu’s industrial landscape.
Strategically located in the rapidly growing Oragadam-Sriperumbudur cluster, ESR Oragadam has seen increasing demand for Grade A assets. The park’s expansion builds on the success of its first two phases, which have attracted notable tenants such as electromechanical solutions provider CUBIC, automotive R&D firm A2Mac1, and specialty labelling company CCL.
Abhijit Malkani, CEO of ESR India, emphasised the significance of the expansion, stating, “ESR’s growth in Oragadam is a crucial step in supporting Tamil Nadu’s ambition to become a major industrial hub. This project extends beyond Grade A industrial buildings.”
By integrating modern infrastructure, ESR Group aims to elevate the supply chain, fostering a new era of advanced manufacturing and logistics. Malkani highlighted the company’s focus on innovation and environmental sustainability, noting that green building practices and sustainable infrastructure are integral to their designs, enabling efficient business operations while minimising environmental impact.
