The Egyptian Ministry of Transport announces the creation of a logistics corridor connecting Dar Es Salaam Port in Tanzania to Rwanda, aiming to enhance Egyptian exports’ access to Africa and strengthen Egyptian-African ties.
The Egyptian Ministry of Transport, led by Minister Kamel Al-Wazir, revealed plans to establish a strategic logistics corridor spanning from Dar Es Salaam Port in Tanzania through a logistics area and dry port in Tanzania, ultimately reaching a dry port and logistics area in Rwanda.
The initiative is poised to streamline Egyptian exports into Africa and foster closer economic collaboration between Egypt and African nations. The announcement materialised during Minister Al-Wazir’s visit to Rwanda, emphasising Egypt’s commitment to bolstering trade and connectivity on the African continent. The logistics corridor project signifies a crucial step in facilitating the movement of goods and promoting stronger economic partnerships within the region.
The corridor is anticipated to play a pivotal role in enhancing logistical efficiency, reducing transportation costs, and catalysing trade between Egypt and African nations.
