A workshop jointly organised by DPIIT and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya aims to integrate PM GatiShakti principles into administrative training programs to bolster logistics and infrastructure development.
A workshop convened by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya in Vadodara, Gujarat, on April 8, 2024, underscored the integration of PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP) and the National Logistics Policy (NLP) into Central Training Institutes (CTIs) and State Administrative Training Institutes (ATIs) curricula.
The workshop, attended by over 100 officials including representatives from DPIIT, BISAG-N, and government ministries, aimed to strategise the incorporation of PM GatiShakti principles into educational programs. Rajesh Kumar Singh, DPIIT Secretary, emphasized the significance of capacity building in the logistics sector for establishing efficient infrastructure systems.
Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, highlighted the university’s role in developing capacity-building programs related to the logistics sector. The workshop also witnessed the launch of eight new academic programs at GSV, tailored to address the needs of both traditional students and professionals in the workforce.
Key workshop highlights included demonstrations of PM GatiShakti NMP features and brainstorming sessions on integrating infrastructure and logistics courses into training programs. Suggestions were made to identify essential course modules for regularising PM GatiShakti training and fostering partnerships between academic institutions and government bodies to facilitate continuous learning opportunities for officials.
