DNV and MPSF partner to enhance maritime sustainability and decarbonization.
Classification society DNV has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mumbai Port Sustainability Foundation (MPSF), an entity under the Mumbai Port Authority, to collaborate on decarbonization, digitalization, emissions management, and safety initiatives. Through its Centre of Excellence on ESG and circularity, MPSF aims to support local ports and maritime companies in improving their sustainability by adopting advanced technologies and eco-friendly practices.
Under the MoU, DNV will offer MPSF expert guidance on industry needs, regulatory requirements, technological advancements, and safety and quality protocols in the maritime and energy sectors. Additionally, DNV experts will work closely with MPSF to explore the commercial potential of low carbon fuel bunkering, storage, and transfer.
