CII’s initiative aims to boost India’s logistics sector, creating jobs, attracting investments, and fostering global competitiveness.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has unveiled a plan to position India as a global logistics hub, emphasising collaboration among stakeholders to unlock opportunities across industries and regions. The initiative aims to drive employment, investment, and economic growth by leveraging India’s strengths.
India’s logistics sector is expanding, fueled by e-commerce, manufacturing, and global capability centers (GCCs). The sector is expected to generate 15-17 million jobs by 2030. CII highlighted the country’s developing infrastructure, skilled workforce, and thriving startup ecosystem as key enablers for this transformation.
R Dinesh, Chairman of the CII-Institute of Logistics Advisory Council, stressed that “Logistics for All” is crucial for India’s vision as a logistics powerhouse. The initiative will offer aspirational careers, leadership roles, and industry-wide growth through a collaborative platform connecting policymakers, industry leaders, and academia.
