Taiyuan’s first cargo flight to Almaty boosts trade ties between China and Central Asia.
A cargo plane from Taiyuan, located in North China’s Shanxi Province, successfully made its inaugural delivery to Almaty on October 23, as reported by Xinhua. This flight marks the launch of a new direct cargo air route, enhancing trade connections between Shanxi Province and Central Asia.
Departing from Taiyuan Wusu International Airport, the aircraft transported a variety of Chinese goods, including clothing, daily consumer items, and spare parts. The new service is scheduled to operate twice a week, with flights every Monday and Friday.
As the route develops, there are plans to diversify the types of cargo transported, further strengthening economic ties between the regions. This direct air connection is expected to facilitate smoother trade flows and contribute positively to the economic landscape of both Shanxi Province and Central Asia, fostering growth and cooperation in the region.
