CBIC introduces ICETAB 2.0, a cutting-edge tool to streamline customs operations with real-time reporting and enhanced mobility.
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is set to transform customs operations with the launch of ICETAB 2.0, an advanced tool designed to integrate seamlessly with existing systems. The ICETAB 2.0 aims to enhance efficiency by allowing customs officers mobile access to the ICES application right within the cargo shed. This innovation facilitates real-time reporting, enabling officers to complete and submit examination reports on the move, expediting cargo clearance processes.
ICETAB 2.0 offers a user-friendly interface for entering reports, capturing and uploading up to four photographs, and documenting essential details such as SSOID, date, time, and location.
The device also provides access to bill of entry details, RMS instructions, and examination orders, and supports document uploads to eSunchit, CBIC’s document repository. With a 10.1-inch display, MediaTek Octa-Core processor, 6 GB of RAM, and a 7100mAh battery, ICETAB is designed for portability and long hours of use, featuring 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity for efficient operation.
