One of the most complex and information-intensive industries is the automotive industry. Despite the use of software systems to tighten up each stage, there is still a gap between planning and execution. International freight prices have skyrocketed due to a lack of containers, negatively impacting the automotive industry. Fuel price inflation caused by the Ukraine-Russia war raised the costs of vessel operators and airlines, which were then passed on to the end consumer. Furthermore, keeping domestic and rural transportation costs low while ensuring on-time material pickup and delivery is a difficult task.  The companies are addressing these challenges in choosing reliable & dependable partners using their expertise and channelising their requirements for tailor made solutions.


 It is no surprise that technology has drastically improved the industry. Database software has transformed the automotive logistics industry. Database software allows for the seamless, instant transmission of information between multiple parties to ensure the correct products, parts, or materials arrive on time, from part identification and ordering to shipping and receiving. Technology appears to be indispensable in every sphere of the automobile industry, thanks to improvisation and innovation.

Risk Mitigation 

Raw materials are typically packed in wooden pallets, which necessitate safe forklift handling. This aids in moving heavy pallets from one location to another and storing materials in their designated location. The cars are loaded onto the ship using the Stern Ramp. Special vehicles and equipment are also used to load and unload vehicles on the road. Bikes are typically shipped with the front wheel removed, handlebars pushed down, and bike controls not mounted. This task is performed by only skilled, trained, and fully equipped drivers.

Emerging trends

Many automobile companies are working on research and development of electric vehicles due to scarcity of natural resources. Such vehicles have low maintenance costs, low operating costs, and no tailpipe emissions, resulting in cleaner DRIVE everywhere. Automobile manufacturers intend to replace lithium-ion batteries with nano-silicon formulations, which will result in ultra-fast charging batteries. These alternatives in the automotive industry will help Logistics and Supply Chain prepare for a massive export/import across the globe. With the “National Logistics Policy” paving the way for a logistics boom in the country, the warehouse, port, and road infrastructure are undergoing massive transformations.
