AirAsia continues its robust presence in the Indian aviation sector, strengthening its network with 10 international routes directly connecting India to Malaysia and Thailand. The airline, comprising short-haul carriers AirAsia Malaysia and AirAsia Thailand, along with medium-haul affiliate AirAsia X Malaysia, operates 104 weekly flights.
The airline has flown 1.6 million guests from India between January and November, emphasising its enduring appeal with competitive fares and connectivity. Despite no longer operating domestic flights, AirAsia remains dedicated to India, with plans to launch a new route to Thiruvananthapuram soon.
The expansion aims to make international travel from India more accessible and affordable, reinforcing AirAsia’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and accessibility across the country.
