Former Union finance secretary Hasmukh Adhia has been appointed as the Chairman of Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), and Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals (GACL) by the Gujarat government, while retired IAS officer S S Rathore has been appointed as the Chairman of Diamond Research and Mercantile City (DREAM City) in Surat. Adhia replaces S. G. Mankad as the chairman of GIFT City, while Rathore also heads the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB). With these appointments, key projects, and strategic state government-run, PSUs are now under the leadership of advisors to the Chief Minister.
