DP World’s ₹500 crore second phase adds one million square feet of warehouse capacity near Mumbai.

DP World has inaugurated the second phase of Nhava Sheva business park near Mumbai, adding one million square feet of warehouse capacity with an investment of ₹500 crore.
Executive Chairman Essa Kazim unveiled it during his first visit to India on Wednesday. Accompanied by board members, he met a Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) team including Chairman Gaurav Dayal and Deputy Chairman Ravish Kumar.
The park has attracted new customers in recent months as companies de-risk their business and strengthen supply chains amid the outbreak of West Asia conflict. The second phase covers an additional 42 acres.
“India is a strategic partner in DP World’s global growth journey, and we see significant opportunities to contribute to the country’s ambitions as a leading global trading nation. Our commitment goes beyond investing in infrastructure; it is about building enduring partnerships, strengthening connectivity and creating integrated supply chain solutions that enable Indian businesses to compete more effectively in global markets,” Kazim said in a statement.
DP World runs two terminals at Jawaharlal Nehru port. The concession of one ends in June 2027 and the port authority is considering an extension. JNPA is developing Vadhvan port, which has drawn interest from global companies including DP World.
