Sindhu Trade Links has acquired stakes in Advent Coal Resources and Sainik Mining and Allied Services.

Sindhu Trade Links Limited (STLL), a diversified business group with interests across mining, logistics, transportation and allied businesses, has completed two strategic acquisitions worth ₹922.5 crore in total. It has acquired a 78.26 per cent stake in Advent Coal Resources Pte. Ltd., Singapore, for ₹697.05 crore. It has also acquired a 50.10 per cent stake in Sainik Mining and Allied Services Limited (SMASL), India, for ₹225.45 crore. The company said the acquisitions strengthen its integrated mining platform and expand its asset base and capabilities across coal, mining, logistics services and infrastructure. They also deepen its presence in the Indonesian coal market.
Advent Coal Resources effectively owns 100 per cent of the economic interest in an Indonesian coal project with a 620 million tonne coal resource. The project is being developed in East Kalimantan as an integrated coal and infrastructure project. It includes infrastructure connecting the mine through a 130-km logistics corridor to a deep-sea port and a future industrial cluster. SMASL is an established mining services company with expertise in mine developer and operator (MDO) contracts, overburden removal, coal extraction and coal transportation. Its 24-year MDO contract with NTPC for the Dulanga Coal Mines has won several performance awards since its inception in 2017. SMASL reported revenues of ₹985 crore and EBITDA of ₹102 crore in FY 2025-26.
The Advent Coal Resources acquisition involved the preferential allotment of 300,455,030 equity shares. The SMASL acquisition involved the allotment of 97,176,757 CCPS, convertible into equity shares in a 1:1 ratio. The transactions were approved through the requisite regulatory, corporate and shareholder processes. STLL Chief Executive Officer Vikas Singh Hooda called the acquisitions an important milestone in the company’s growth journey. He said they strengthen its platform to take part in larger and more integrated opportunities across natural resources and infrastructure. He added that the company aims to participate in upcoming opportunities in strategic mineral development through MDO and commercial mining.
