Amazon signed an MoU with Gati Shakti Uni (GSV) to establish a research chair, aiming to boost logistics skills and data-driven warehousing in India.

A major e-commerce corporation, Amazon, announced on December 11, 2025, that it has formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), based in Vadodara, to engage in collaborative work within the transportation and logistics sphere.
The agreement was officially exchanged during an event held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Abhinav Singh, the Vice President at Amazon, noted that the partnership signifies “a crucial landmark in Amazon’s presence within India—an alliance that connects innovation, higher education, and the forthcoming landscape of logistics and transport.”
Manoj Choudhary, the Vice-Chancellor of GSV, commented that their alliance with the logistics leader, Amazon India, will “provide vital sector insights that will facilitate improved strategy, design, and inventive logistics and transport solutions through shared projects.”
Under the terms of the MoU, an Amazon Chair Professorship will be established at GSV. This role will concentrate specifically on advanced research in the warehousing domain, employing strategies based on data-driven decision-making, according to a statement released by GSV.
